The Carpenter Kids: Little by Little
Book Series

  • Carpenter Kids: Little by Little is a Christian children’s book series and accompanying devotional for parents designed to grow with your family—four siblings, four age ranges, one big journey of faith.

  • Each volume centers around a fruit of the spirit and includes four standalone stories—one for each developmental stage:

    • Ages 0–2 (Cubbie): Board book with simple, attachment-rich language

    • Ages 3–4 (Maddie): Rhyming picture book with big emotions

    • Ages 5–7 (Ellie): Reflective early reader with imagination and relationships

    • Ages 8–10 (Ollie): Chapter book with mystery, depth, and sibling connection

Each volume also includes a devotional for parents to help them in their own journey and prepare them as they shepherd their children as the primary disciplers.

  • This series is developmentally aligned with each age group and integrates spiritual formation, attachment theory, and storytelling that reflects real family dynamics—not just moral lessons.

The stories weave together, just like real family life.

The parent’s devotional approaches biblical topics, like kindness, from a spiritual perspective while being informed by child psychology, enabling them to meet the children where they are and foster a foundation for faith.

  • Not at all! Each book stands on its own and is designed to be meaningful, whether it’s the first you read or the ninth.

  • We’re starting with the Fruit of the Spirit—one theme at a time. After kindness, we’ll explore love, joy, peace, patience, and more, with future seasonal and topical series to follow.

  • Nope! Whether you’re raising one child or seven, the series offers age-specific books that match your child’s stage—plus a parent devotional to help you disciple your whole family.

  • You can read the book that matches your child’s age or read all four to engage the whole family together. The stories are perfect for bedtime, devotionals, or family reading nights—and each one ties back to a central theme you can revisit in conversations, prayer, or play. Pair them with the parent devotional and family challenges for a full discipleship experience!

Ollie and the Case of the Invisible Chain

All Ollie wanted was a break. What he got was a mystery, a map, and a mess.

Ollie’s just a regular 8-year-old with a science board to fix, a journal full of doodles, and siblings who spill more glitter than glue. But when a crumpled note from Dad hints at an “invisible chain,” Ollie finds himself caught in a mystery that stretches through school hallways, secret kindness missions, and even his own living room.

Through spilled juice, anonymous notes, and a kindness map that keeps growing, Ollie begins to see how small acts—especially the quiet ones—can ripple farther than he imagined… especially when rooted in something deeper.

A Carpenter Kids: Little by Little Story for curious, confident readers ages 8–10. Packed with mystery, laughter, and spiritual depth, this transitional chapter book explores kindness that multiplies—little by little.
